Kevin O’Keefe (26th Co.) Retires from the State Department

Kevin O’Keefe retired from the State Department, from Kevin’s Facebook page:

“After 46 years of service to the Republic, both as an officer of Marines and as an SES at the Department of State, it has come time for me to ‘hang up my spurs.’ It has truly been my distinct honor and pleasure to serve alongside the countless Marines and State Department professionals in support of our continuing democratic experiment. I am especially indebted to my life partner for the past 43 years, Diane, who supported me and our family every step of this journey; and to our three kids, Kerry, Patrick, and Bridget, who endured multiple moves and long stints of only having one parent when I was deployed. We are facing challenging times, both at home and abroad, but it gives me great comfort in knowing that we have so many dedicated professionals who will still be ‘standing the watch,’ most notably our son MAJ Patrick O’Keefe, USA and son-in-law 1Lt Tim Beger, USMC. Cheers and Semper Fidelis.”
