Jeff Webb ’95 incoming Alumni Association & Foundation President & CEO

Classmates,

I am excited to share with you that our Alumni Association and Foundation announced today that Jeff Webb, USNA Class of ‘95, is our incoming President and CEO.  I have had the privilege of serving with Jeff on our Association’s Board of Trustees, and I believe he is an outstanding choice to lead our Association and Foundation.  Here is some background on Jeff from today’s announcement which can be found on www.usna.com.

“After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), Webb served five years as a U.S. Navy SEAL platoon commander before spending two decades in the financial services industry – most recently as Principal for Bessemer Trust. Webb devoted nearly a decade directing the Families of the Wounded Fund, which benefits families and caregivers of wounded warriors. His 15 years of active volunteer service in the alumni community includes six years as the Eastern Region Trustee, chair of the Board of Trustees Communications Committee, a decade of service on the USNA Memorial Oversite Committee, and co-founding the Run To Honor Shared Interest Group, which honors Naval Academy alumni who are killed in service to our country.

Webb is married to Shannon Revell Webb, a 2004 graduate of the Naval Academy. Shannon served in the Navy for nearly 6 years as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officer. She then attended the Wharton School of Business and has worked in corporate development over the last 8 years. She is a long-time volunteer, director, and former President of Run to Honor. The Webbs have four children.”

Jeff will report as President and CEO in June. If you have a future opportunity to meet Jeff, I know you will find him impressive.

Fair winds…

Glen
