Yesterday I learned of the recently released 2021 U.S. News & World Report College Ranking Report. Specifically for USNA:
#1 in Top Public Schools
#6 in National Liberal Arts Colleges
#5 in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs (including #5 Aero, #9 MechE, #10 EE)
#43 in Best Undergraduate Teaching
While we do not “chase the rankings,” they are indicative of the success of our programs and the reputation of this institution — both instrumental to attracting future midshipman candidates and in some degree, future faculty and staff. These rankings do not happen by chance and it is not lost on me that they are the result of the sustained, superior efforts of our faculty, staff, coaches and the Brigade of Midshipmen.
Thank you for all you do day in, day out — during “normal” years and during a pandemic — to help us succeed in our mission. It remains an honor and a privilege to serve with such a dedicated cadre of professionals.
