Victory eluded Navy once again in the All Academy Challenge (Merchant Marine won. Again), but the five-day competition netted almost $1.4 million and participation reached its second-highest level ever. Class competition was strong, with three challenge gifts unlocked and the Classes of ’65, ’84 and ’78 taking the top spots in participation percentage.
