Hello Classmates…
I am writing to remind you that about 3 years from now, we will be gathering for our 50th Reunion.
I thought I would offer a few thoughts on this event. Saturday in Annapolis, Navy Football prepares to play Florida Atlantic University. It is Homecoming weekend, and our reunion will also be on Homecoming weekend – 3 years from now!
Our Class officers and I have agreed that our major goals in this reunion are:
1) to get the maximum number of classmates to attend. We ask that you begin now to relay messages to everyone. Communicate with company-mates and any other means to spread the word to join us on October 19th-22nd. Also, look for classmates you haven’t heard fromin a long while and encourage their participation.
2) to make this a special weekend while also keeping costs low. We understand that participating in this can be expensive. We have already started activities to that will allow us to have as many people participate as possible. This includes securing a downtown hotel at a cost nearly at what we paid for the 45th reunion AND having alternative lower-cost hotels nearby. (details will be forthcoming – no reservations available yet)
We will be communicating regularly about the reunion in this forum and others. Read your emails, check Facebook and stay in touch with company-mates. Finally… please make sure your contact information is up-to-date on the USNA.com website.
