“After 42 years in aviation, John flew his retirement flight Sunday, October 3, from Amsterdam to Detroit. Six years were spent flying in the Navy including time as a Tophatter (The Oldest and the Boldest!). He flew, among others, his favorite the F-14 and trained at Topgun (Navy Fighter Weapons School). For the remaining 36 years, 11,377,580 miles were flown with Northwest and Delta Air Lines. I’m so proud of you, Commander AND Captain Skogsberg! And now, on to new adventures.”
