Carl Thomas Tinsley, known as “CT” to his companymates at the Naval Academy, died on April 26, 1995. He arrived at the Academy on “I” Day 1974 directly from the Fleet, bypassing NAPS. CT was an enthusiastic student of life at the Academy, and his southern drawl and infectious laughter could be heard everywhere. He is remembered fondly by his classmates in the 31st Company for his warm sense of humor, his willingness to help with any task and his knack for creating memorable situations. CT stayed through his Youngster year, but then decided to return home to his beloved Tennessee, where he married Denise.
