Updates to Links for Jeff Grogan (30th Co.) Memorials

Classmates, Family, and Friends,

The Naval Academy Foundation has arranged for a direct link for making contributions to the C. Jeffrey Grogan Memorial Fund: https://www.usna.com/give/GroganMemorium This should make it easier for you to contribute than the previous e-mailed weblink.

As a reminder, the Memorial Scholarship Fund in Jeff’s name supports the Naval Academy Foundation Athletics & Scholarship Programs (A&SP). Specifically, it will provide tuition assistance to Naval Academy applicants selected to attend a year at one of the many preparatory schools USNA uses in addition to NAPS.

Some of you were able to attend or see the livestream of the services for Jeff. His daughter, Ali, informed us that the service was recorded in full. You can watch or revisit it by using the following link: https://wellesleyvillagechurch.org/news/jeff-grogan-memorial-service-recording/. This link also includes the order of service.

Ali noted that “you’ll see that much of the program was designed to recognize and honor my father’s service to his country and his love of the academy. Among many other Navy tributes, we began the service with Eternal Father and concluded with Navy Blue and Gold, encouraging the entire church to shout, “Beat Army!” at the end.”  She added, “In the midst of all this sadness, we still found great joy in Navy’s win on Saturday. We think there was an angel in the stands who may have had something to do with it. 😊”   I think she is right. I can also imagine Jeff joined up with our classmates who preceded him, for a ’78 Heavenly Army-Navy Tailgate and game watch-party.
